This notice explains what information the Pack the Mack back-to-school event collects when you register, why we collect it, and how it is protected.
What we collect
- For students: first and last name, age, grade, and school.
- For the parent/guardian: name, email, phone number, and ZIP code.
- For the signer: full legal name, date of birth, and signature date (to record agreement to the release forms).
- For volunteers: name, email, phone, affiliation, and chosen shifts.
Why we collect it
- To register your child(ren) for the event and reserve service time slots.
- To plan capacity and staffing, and to report aggregate participation totals.
- To record the required liability and photo/video release agreements.
How it is protected
- All information is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- Personal details are stored in a secured database and are never shown publicly. The public event dashboard displays only totals and charts — never individual names.
- Access to personal records is limited to authorized event staff with password-protected accounts.
How long we keep it
Information is retained only as long as needed for the event and required reporting, then deleted on a schedule agreed with the event organizers.
Children's information
This event serves children. Registration is completed by a parent or legal guardian (18+), who provides consent on behalf of their child(ren) by signing the release forms.
